It’s time to recruit staffers

As your school asks students to choose their classes for next year, we’ve got the tools you need to compete with all of the other (less awesome) offerings.

Check out our recruiting center on YearbookDiscoveries.com There, you’ll find ready-made PowerPoints, social media graphics, flyers, posters — and even the more practical things, like applications and recommendation forms.

Don’t miss this doc with best practices for recruiting. You may not have a literal recruitment fair this year, but many of the ideas still work even if you’re virtual.

Here’s a happy little tidbit for you! You can now upload images directly into eDesign from Google Drive using the image uploader. Here’s a video explaining how it’s done.

HOW TO INCLUDE CURRENT EVENTS COVERAGE

1. World Yearbook: There’s still time to add the World Yearbook supplement to your book this year. (The deadline for spring-delivery books is Jan. 25. Summer-fall books have to order by April 19.)

2. Ready-Made Content: This is chronological coverage (spreads and single pages) that Herff Jones is providing to customers at no cost. Just head over to YearbookDiscoveries.com and download the spreads you want and check out the full calendar of releases.

What’s the difference? The Ready-Made Content is chronological. You can use all or some of the spreads and place them wherever you need to fill a page. World Yearbook is a mini-magazine, and it summarizes what happened during the coverage year (late spring 2020 – winter 2021). The spreads and coverage are organized by topic, like sports or entertainment, rather than by date. Our World is the middle/elementary school version, and it’s only four pages vs. 16 pages. Contact your rep asap if you’d like to add World Yearbook or Our World to your book.
