HOW TO YBK
Let's talk portrait pages
Portrait pages — from picture days to retakes to flowing portraits to planning coverage for those pages — are 90 percent planning and 10 percent execution. At least that’s how it seems at this time of the school year.
If you’ve got your planning taken care of and your ladder and coverage plan wrapped up, and even if you haven’t, go pick a session of Working with Portraits in eDesign to attend.
» If you’re still stuck in COVID madness, take a look at this document we put together at the height of the pandemic. It may offer some ideas that are still applicable to your situation.
• There are additional resources in the Photography section of the Pivot Project section as well.
• And don’t forget eShare as an option for allowing parents and students to submit portrait photos.
» If you’ve made it to the other side (i.e. in-person picture days), start with page 6 of the People and Index section of the curriculum.
• And finally, here’s a completely annoying list of so many questions that need to be answered to pull off a great picture day (or picture season, as it is).
