Demystifying book sales: Practical ways to level up
You and your students are putting a lot of hard work into your yearbook. So, let's make sure everyone gets to see it.
Before we get started with a few ideas, make sure that your sales lists are accurate and up-to-date in eBusiness. And, make sure you’ve accounted for additional copies you’ll reserve for your library, admin, contests or critiques.
1.UseYou’re in the Yearbookpostcards. These will help notify non-buyers that they’re IN the book. When students are asked why they haven’t purchased a yearbook, one common answer is that they don’t think they will be included in it. We don’t want this to happen.
2.Use the posters in your kit or have a quick, in-class contest to come up with great ideas. There's always the option of using Canva to make flyers. In any case, put them where students and parents will see them.
3.Keep it simple withLast Chancepostcards, and remind non-buyers that time is running out. The best part is, the blank backs give you space to add mailing addresses to send home to parents — if allowed.
4.Stock up on banners and yard signs to reach parents in the car-rider line. Stick them inside or outside to make sure they can’t be missed. You can find our options here.
