HOW TO YBK
We’re all about getting ahead of the game

In addition to planning your next great volume, use these last days or weeks of school to get started on the business side of your yearbook.

Like we always say, the book only matters if people buy it. The Selling Your Book section of the curriculum has many resources, but here are a few to get started on now.

• Create a Budget: This isn’t a scary as it sounds, we promise. With this Budget History worksheet, you can determine exactly where you stand from last year and where you should improve. Plus, this helps you know what you can spend on upgrades or technology this year.
• Monitor Sales Trends: Use this worksheet to track last year’s sales by month. This allows you to look for patterns and trends in sales so you can capitalize on them. Be ready to sell your book at the beginning of the year when the back-to-school excitement is in the air.
• Start Ad Sales: Whether you have student or business ads, get your staffers started on reaching out to new or renewing business with letter options found in our curriculum. And, start the communication to rising seniors for the next year.
