December and January can be tough months for a yearbook staff. Many of you have deadlines yet this month and again, it seems, as soon as you return in January from winter break. So how do you overcome what is the epitome of yearbook stress? Constant, thorough and effective communication helps.
There will surely be long nights and early mornings placing photos, editing copy and checking margins. One staffer will inevitably have to pick up where another one left off, so make sure everyone is communicating clearly. And keep in mind, recognition for hard work and dedication goes a long way during times like these.
To make light of the yearbook stress you may be experiencing, we wanted to share with you our all new iMessage Yerd Stickers that can brighten any staffer’s day. And, they’re only a download away. (Just make sure your iPhone is operating with iOS 10!) Watch the quick video to learn how to download, use and spread some smiles.
Encourage one another. Keep everyone motivated. Recognize hard work, and have fun while reaching those deadlines!
Being a yerd for three years led me to what I do now — write. Aside from that, the things that make me happiest are: cooking (despite how the end product may turn out), sand, waves and sunshine, all things pineapple and every single moment spent with the ones who mean the most to me.
