Here’s the mantra: Cover what happens, not what’s been cancelled. That’s from California rep Mimi Orth, who has stepped in to provide her schools (and all of us) with some inspiration on exactly how to go about this feat.

In the Golden State, where the majority of schools are operating virtually for the entire school year, covering academics means Zoom screen after Zoom screen, and visually, that’s not the most exciting thing. But, even capturing Zoom screens does, in fact, mean that students are being covered — and the realities of the school year are being captured.
