Get Ready for the Best. Day. Ever.

After the process of interviewing, designing, copywriting and staying up for many late nights, you’ll soon have yearbooks in hands and smiles on faces. Distribution Day is almost here! So, how can you make sure the day goes off without a hitch? Here are three ways you can ensure a fantastic distribution day for your staff.

Prep the nitty-gritty details. We’re talking receiving, storing and sorting. Once you’re locked down on all shipping details (ship date, delivery location, hands to help unload), make sure to plan where to store and sort the yearbooks. Prep your staffers for sorting orders by grade and/or last name to make Distribution Day a breeze.

Assign roles and responsibilities. Start printing your Distribution Reports from eBiz, then check out this weekly countdown for Distribution Day tasks to keep your staffers busy. Many hands make light work, and there is so much work to be done! Give everyone a task (or two, or three) to be responsible for on the day of and during the weeks leading up to distribution day.

Advertise in every way possible. Hang flyers around your school. Post all over social media (These graphics are here for you). Put a quick mention in your school announcements. Chalk the sidewalks. Have staffers wear YBK staff T-shirts (because nothing turns heads like a flock of matching yerds). There are so many ways you can get the word out, so get creative! If you need any yard signs, banners and shirts, check out these options for YBK Day.

Even when it seems everything has gone according to plan, and Distribution Day is over, it’s possible some complaints might come from the student body and parents. Before you respond, reference this document on how to address complaints.

YOU GOT THIS! We hope you have the BEST. DAY. EVER. For more tips on how to execute distribution day, check out this resource.
